THE Security Service in Ukraine, known as the ‘SBU,’ has arrested a female for allegedly collaborating with Russia to arrest President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The SBU made this known to the general public on Monday.
The SBU alleges that Russia were using information obtained from the unidentified woman to hatch an assassination plot against Zelenskyy.
The Security Service gathered that during Zelenskyy’s recent visit, the unidentified female “was preparing an enemy airstrike on Mykolaiv region.”
The SBU asserted that intelligence on the time and a list of all locations Zelenskyy intended to visit in the southern region were being gathered by the accused woman.
The Security Service conclude that the President is the target of this assassination attempt hence the reason “additional security measures were taken during the visit.”
The SBU said it was now trying to uncover the woman’s Russian handlers after she was caught “red-handed.”
The woman is believed to be a former military shop saleswoman resident in Ochakiv.
The accused female is said to have been tasked with finding Ukrainian army’s strategic assets near the town of Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.
SBU discovered the Russians’ plan to use that intelligent for an aerial strike on the area.
President Zelenskyy is known to move from battle front lines, as well as visit cities liberated from the stronghold of Russia, all under heavy security.
The SBU confirm that numerous attempts to assassinate the President have been hatched but countered by Ukraine’s Security Services.
