TENNIS star, Aryana Sabalenka, coasted into the last 16 of the US Open with a victory over France’s Clara Burel, on Saturday.
The second seed claimed a 6-1, 6-1 sets win in 60-minutes.
She relied on her capable first serve and strong groundstrokes to gazump Burel.
Sabalenka’s victory was pretty convincing haven made her opponent pay for her poor serves in the matchup.
Sabalenka will now face either Belgium’s Greet Minnen or Russia’s Daria Kasatkina in Monday’s last 16 clash with the winner going through to the quarter-finals.
It will be recalled that the Belarusan defeated Burel in straight sets at the same stage of the tournament last year.
She will now look to knock Poland’s Iga Swiatek off the top of the world rankings with a better performance in this tournament than her opponent had in New York earlier.
