South-West is Secured – OPC

OPC Assures On Security In South-West Nigeria

The Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has guaranteed all in Yorubaland that the Oodua Peoples Congress – PPC, were invested in fulfilling their number 1 responsibility of keeping the region secured.

The National Coordinator of the group said this while speaking at the Osun OPC state congress held in Osogbo on Thursday.

Adams urged the OPC hierarchy to recruit new members and give them proper training ahead of their tasks.

He opined that, for the group to focus on its fight against external aggression, internal crisis within the group must be squashed.

“I urge you all not to forget the ideology of OPC, our commitment is to ensure that external forces never invade or outrun the Yoruba people.

“This is the foundation of OPC and we must remain faithful to it.

“As genuine OPC members in Osun, you must support the new Coordinator with a view to ensure that the group remains committed to its ideology.

“We must collectively protect OPC from both internal and external acrimony, doing this amount to protecting Yorubaland. Continue to mobilise more members and instill in them our ideology,” Adams stated.

On a parting note, Adams encouraged the group to hold dear to its core values and remain steadfast in its responsibilities.
