The Trade: An Insightful And Powerful Movie Experience

By Bolatito Adebayo.

The Trade is a movie about a notorious kidnapper who operated in the southern part of Nigeria.

The Trade is an insightful and powerful story inspired by true events.  The film encompasses themes of greed, love, betrayal, trauma and corruption all were well explored in a grand spectacle.

The heart of the narrative is an engrossing story that seamlessly weaves together man’s inhumanity to man and the quest for insatiable lust for wealth.

The Trade’s plot is well-constructed with the perfect blend of drama, suspense and comedy.

This movie is nothing short of captivating with fantastic characters that were brought to life by expertly crafted acting skills.

Blossom Chukwujekwu blew my mind away; I am of the opinion that his role in this movie is the best I have seen of him so far. Stan Nze is another outstanding actor in the movie,  his character is nauseating and annoying. Waje did exceptionally well too and Gideon Okeke proved that he still has it in him.

The only problem I had with this movie was that the Igbo language wasn’t translated, and I felt I missed out because of the language barrier.

Overall, The Trade is a testament to the power of storytelling, and it is an amazingly well-crafted movie that gives a glimpse into the lives of the criminal kidnappers and their victims.  Jadesola Osiberu has been shattering the ceilings with his excellent directorial skills and his audience is loving every bit of it.

The Trade is relatable and impactful. It is a must-see for those seeking a poignant and uplifting movie experience.
