NIGERIAN President, Bola Tinubu, has left Nigeria to attend the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, USA
This was disclosed in a statement released by the Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
The meeting is to be held from September 18th-26th 2022.
Tinubu, who is attending the UNGA for the first time since becoming President, will deliver his inaugural national statement on the floor of the UN headquarters on September 19.
The Spokesman explained that the President will also use the opportunity to open bilateral agreements with World leaders like President Joe Biden of the USA and EU Commission President Von Der Leyen.
There will also be dialogue with the global President of Microsoft Brad Smith and the Head of Global Affairs for Meta Technologies, Nick Clegg.
The President will, on Wednesday, September 19, will address American business leaders at the US Chamber of Commerce before conducting the closing ceremony of NASDAQ.
