AFRIQUECAN: PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu will attend the burial ceremony of the 17 soldiers who were gruesomely murdered in Delta State recently.
The bodies of the slain soldiers will be laid to rest at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja at 3pm on Wednesday.
This was disclosed in a post on X by the Nigerian Army.
According to the Army, President Tinubu is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at the event.
The slain military personnel were murdered on March 14, 2024 in the Okuama community of the Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State.
They were responding to a distress call after a communal crisis between the Okuama and Okoloba communities.
President Tinubu has said that the slain military personnel will be conferred with national honours.
