Tobi Amusan Loses 100m Hurdles World Tittle to Jamaica’s Danielle Williams

World 100m Hurdles defending Championship, Tobi Amusan, has lost her title in shocking manner on Thursday.

The Nigerian star lost to Jamaica’s Danielle Williams in Budapest.

Williams clocked a time of 12.43 seconds to clinch the title.

She defeated her closest rivals, Olympic champion, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico (12.44sec) and Kendra Harrison of the United States (12.46), who claimed Silver and bronze respectively.

Amusan finished an embarrassing 6th in the finals.

2019 winner, Nia Ali, summed up a shocking night by finishing in last place.

Second placed, 27-year-old Camacho-Quinn from Puerto Rico, expressed happiness at her 2nd place finish.

This is despite her Olympic gold medal.

“I’m not upset at all .

“I can be grateful with that silver.

“After I won a bronze at the last world championships now I have a silver.

“If I add my Olympic gold medal I have the whole collection to be proud of,” Camacho-Quinn said.
