A private jet carrying Russian mercenary (Wagner) Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been shot down by Russian Air defences.
This much was confirmed by BBC on Wednesday night.
The Wagner aircraft was shot down around the Tver region of Wester Russia.
Reports state that 10 persons were on board including the Wagner Boss.
“Wagner-linked Telegram channel Grey Zone reported the Embraer aircraft was shot down by air defences in the Tver region, north of Moscow.
“The jet, which was flying from Moscow to St Petersburg, was carrying seven passengers and three crew,” a BBC report stated.
It will be recalled that, in June, Prigozhin shot to limelight when he led a failed rebellion against Putin.
