AFRIQUECAN: NIGERIA’S President, Bola Tinubu says his administration will not pay ransom in order to free school children that were kidnapped in Kaduna state.
The kids were kidnapped from Kuriga in Kaduna State.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, who spoke with journalists after the Federal Executive Council – FEC, meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, said that President Tinubu made his stance against payment of ransom to kidnappers.
Idris added that the current administration is determined to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities in the country.
Tinubu, according to the minister, reiterated his directive to the defence to ensure that the children are rescued and brought back safely to their homes.
He said that kidnapping, especially mass abductions, will not be allowed under the present administration.
