The Yobe state Commissioner of Health, Dr Lawan Gana, announced this at a ceremony to kick-off the 2023 routine immunisation exercise in the state’s capital, Damaturu.

Gana explained that the exercise will require N200 million.

About 2.2 million children are currently unvaccinated in Nigeria, with Yobe state accounting for over 25% of that figure.
